German sets Transpac record (BizJournals)
In one of Hawaii's more unusual tourist draws, Hasso Plattner's "Morning Glory" finished the Centennial Transpacific Yacht Race in moderate winds just after 2 a.m. Sunday, rounding Diamond Head in record time: 6 days, 16 hours, 4 minutes and 11 seconds.
